Purpose & Scope:
To provide programming and implementation of business systems and business systems extensions. To support the corporate ERP and associated business applications.
Nature & Scope:
The scope of this position extends to Targray applications and application infrastructure worldwide. The incumbent will develop reporting and analysis solutions, modify COTS (commercial, off-the-shelf software) applications and application settings, and support those applications. The incumbent, at the direction of the Software Lead, will develop new applications and support existing ones. The incumbent will develop and support the corporate intranet web pages and interfaces with applications running on the intranet. The incumbent will work closely other IS and Targray staff in problem resolution and will search for means to reduce common errors and process problems. The Business Systems Programmer may share on call duties with other IS staff as assigned.
Accountability:
Is accountable to Software Development Lead to:
• Create and maintain enterprise applications
• Support existing custom and vendor-supplied applications.
• Adhere to departmental policies, procedures and standards including following SDLC methodologies.
• Create and support database scripts and structure. Coordinate with the Network and System administrator to perform database information system upgrades and patches as appropriate.
• Use in-depth understanding of company processes and enterprise systems and technologies to extend the value those systems bring the company.
• Understand and work within the change control processes as defined by ITIL and CSOX.
• Interact with users to resolve application issues and problems.
• Use interpersonal skills for dealing with users and user management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
