Roles & Responsibilities:
Responsibilities can include participating in development sprints to create new software features, or ensure compatibility with selected operating systems, platforms, integrated applications or data bases as defined in the sprint
Mandatory Skills: C/C++,COM, MFC, Good problem solving skills, Design Patterns
o 4-6 years of practical software development experience using C++ programming language
o Expertise with development environment in Visual Studio/C++ 7/above
o Exhaustive understanding of Win32 API
o Familiarity with Automation - OLE, IDispatch, ActiveX, etc.
o Expertise with usage of debugging tools, analysis of memory dumps, exposure with profiling implementation, memory and performance using tools (like Rational Purify, Coverity, etc.)Multi-threaded programming
o Inter-process communication (named pipes, sockets, etc.)
o System/virtual memory management concepts
o Prior experience with handling operations across PDLC with ownership of technical modules/teamsExperience with defining architecture/design – familiarity with UML, usage of tools like Visio, Rose, etc.
o Understanding of I18N concepts – MBCS, UniCode
Desired Skills: Good database knowledge – familiarity with ERD, stored procedures, ODBC, etc., exposure with advance concepts in Unix (shared memory, emulation of Windows’ kernel, ability to interpret pstack, core dumps, etc.)
Any additional information: Knowledge of AGILE development practices a plus
Experience guiding small teams of 2-10 engineers during an application development project a plus
Practical work experience working with Extract/Transform/Load data applications a definite plus, but not required
