• Project Development Lifecycle methodologies
• Object Oriented programming principles
o Experience developing data-driven applications using an industry standard RDBMS (Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, MySQL, etc.), including strong data architecture and SQL development skills.
o Experience in Unix/Linux Red hat based development environment.
o System Analysis, designing, coding, development and implementation of applications.
o Experience /familiarity with Financial Services Industry - US Banking, loan origination, deposit transactions, lending -consumer and commercial. Product development and Maintenance experience a plus.
o Knowledge and understanding of: SourceSafe / SourceOffSite/ Rational ClearCase /
• Will need to do coding/review/design in various areas.
• MultiSite / ClearQuest Administration x Experience with InstallShield a plus
• Delivering Results: Business driven and within defined milestones.
• Proficient in Project management tools & processes.
• Planning & Organizing: Self motivated, Multi-tasking ability in a challenging environment
• Provide advice and guidance on technical matters. Supervises the work of others.
• Is able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with clients, customers, colleagues and subordinates.
• Team Work & Leadership: Should be an excellent communicator and motivator and should be able to manage resources well
• Decision Making: Ability to suggest and influence decisions
Responsibilities:
• Developing and conducting code reviews.
• Contribute towards architecture definition, estimation and planning of the project.
• Participate in customer interaction, code review and follow-up.
• Build and execute release management plan for the respective modules.
• Evangelize best design and coding practices and provide technical guidance.
• Take ownership of the delivery, timeliness and quality of the module assigned.
• Acquire complete understanding of software development processes.
• Mentor and manage team members, by giving constant on the job feedback and by providing guidance
• To participate in Pre sales work as required,give technical solutions,
• To develop detailed implementation plans using MS Project and ensure that it is constantly updated to reflect latest project status
• To deliver the project plan to scope, timescales and budget by tracking all activities against Plan and all actual costs against budget.
• To agree deliverables/milestones and report project progress to the account specific management in place on the particular project.
• To chair regular Technical Project Review Meetings, Customer facing Meetings, attend Project Review Meetings and produce all documentation and minutes as appropriate.
• To manage risks and issues impacting project deliverables•
• To escalate relevant issues and risks in accordance to the Project Issue and Risk Management Procedure and the account specific Process.•
• Acts as primary interface to the customer and all personnel associated with the project
